The Home Missions Department of Assemblies of God, Ghana has called on local churches to support the activities of Assemblies of God Campus Ministry(AGCM) in the ongoing annual missions month programme.
AGCM is a ministry of the Assemblies of God,Ghana with a mandate to mobilise and disciple the intellectual stock of the church in Secondary and Tertiary institutions and prepare them for missions.
AGCM chapters have been embarking on missions and church planting activities in both rural and urban areas. The missions activities are undertaken during vacations in partnership with local churches, missions' agencies, individuals and alumni of AGCM, who partner and provide resources in support of these missions.
AGCM started at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as an offshoot of the Assemblies of God Student's Union (AGSU) in the 1982 and 1983 academic year. Today, AGCM is present in Universities, Professional Institutions, Nursing and Midwifery Training Colleges, Colleges of Education and Senior High Schools.
Presently, there are 402 AGCM chapters across the country.
AGCM chapters deliver impactful spirit-filled church services and other programmes on the various campuses. The chapters organise young people-friendly power-packed services, support students in ministry and for ministry as well as other leadership roles through training, hands-on innovative and godly leadership activities and role plays.
The Alumni of AGCM are in various professions and ministries all over the world.
The National Home Missions Director, Reverend Maxwell Kwesi Incoom, in an interview with AGTV highlighted the impact of the annual National Missions Month programme which commenced last Sunday March 2, 2025. He also encouraged local churches to support the AGCM as their activities are part of this year's missions month activity.
