One of Ghana’s finest Gospel musicians, Dinah Hammond, held her annual musical concert at End- Time Revival Centre (ETRC) Assemblies of God, Adenta last Sunday.
Dubbed “Giving My Best”, the inspiring event, now in its fifth edition serves not only as a platform for worship and praise but also as a means to raise funds and gather support for her impactful charitable projects.
Over the years the initiative has grown as donations and funds raised during the concerts are used to provide essential supplies and support for prisoners, orphans, widows, and others in need. The proceeds from the concert go directly into this outreach effort, enabling the ministry to fulfil its purpose of spreading God’s love through action.
Vision
The musician explained that the project was birthed from a vision God revealed to her, urging her to use her gift of singing and her ministry to touch the lives of the less fortunate.
She stated that the event aims at bringing together people who share a heart for worship and service, uniting them in the mission to make a difference in the lives of the needy.
Impact
Mrs Hammond revealed that by God's grace last year, the initiative reached over 500 prisoners and about 100 of them gave their lives to Christ.
This year, she said the focus is on extending help to the Potter’s Village Orphanage Home in Dodowa and supporting Pastors’ wives, who often carry significant but unrecognised burdens.
Challenges
Despite the ministry’s success, Mrs Hammond pointed out some challenges, including limited resources and lack of sufficient support from some organisations and churches.
She appealed to individuals, corporate entities and religious bodies to partner with the initiative by donating funds, essential items, or any form of assistance to her team.
“The goal is to sustain and expand the project, allowing it to touch even more lives. With greater support, Giving My Best could be held more frequently, amplifying its impact across Ghana.” she observed.
Advice
Mrs Hammond appealed to ministers of the Gospel to extend a helping hand to the needy, as it is an integral part of their calling. She advised them to ensure that every action carried out align with the Word of God.
By doing so, she noted that ministers of God can fulfill their God-given purpose and serve as vessels of His love and provision.
Concert
This year’s concert brought together gospel music enthusiasts, donors, and partners to worship, praise God and to support the mission. Dinah Hammond, alongside other talented performers led the audience in a powerful and spirit-filled experience. The event uplifted hearts through music and reminded attendees of the importance of giving back to society.
