Jofady Services donates medical equipment to Ashaiman Municipal Hospital

The Ashaiman Municipal Hospital has taken delivery of medical equipment and supplies to enhance health care delivery at the hospital’s children’s ward. 

 

The items, were provided by Jofady Services Limited, a renowned printing press,known for providing high-quality printing services to the public.

 

The items included a vein finder, emergency trolley, weighing scale, sphygmomanometer (mercury), medicine trolley with three steps, large medicine trays, dressing sets, and a fourfold screen. Other items presented were a nebuliser, pulse oximeters, suction machine, diagnostic set, bedsheets, pillowcases, macintosh pillows, plastic chairs, and a desktop computer.

 

Appreciation

 

The Hospital's Administrator, Mr Adolph Bansah, received the items on behalf of the facility and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the organisation for the gesture. 

 

He emphasised that the donation came at the right time and assured the donors that they would be used effectively to benefit patients.

 

Speaking to AGTV News, a Senior Management member of Jofady Services Limited, Mr Daniel Nuer, explained that the donation was part of their commitment to give back to the community. 

 

Plea for assistance

 

During the event, a 32-year-old mother of a five-month-old baby, Henry, shared her emotional story with AGTV News. Both mother and child are living with HIV, which the baby contracted at birth due to a lack of timely medical care. Financial constraints have left the mother unable to afford essential tests, scans, or even food.

 

She appealed to the public for help to secure the necessary medical care for her child, sharing that she and her baby have gone days without food and are surviving on the kindness of others.

 

Surgery

 

A 26-year-old mother of triplets also shared her plight. Her three-year-old son, Oswald, has been diagnosed with a hole in his heart and requires urgent surgery. Due to financial challenges, the family has been unable to afford even basic treatment.

 

She appealed to individuals and organisations to support her son’s medical care, stressing the urgency of the situation.
