The 2024 Praise Achievement Awards got off to a thrilling start with captivating performances at the Perez Dome in Dzorwulu, Accra, on Sunday, November 24, 2024."
The first musical performance by Minister Max Praize-a Gospel Praise Artiste of the Year nominee which started at around 6:20pm, wowed patrons who stood on their feet and danced to the music.
This was followed by other musical performances and Choreography as curtain raisers to set the stage for the event.
The prestigious event is honouring outstanding individuals and organisations within the Gospel Music fraternity in Ghana. It is the biggest night in the Gospel Industry in Ghana and beyond where deserved individuals and groups are awarded for their sterling contributions to the growth and success of the industry.
AGTV nominated
Assemblies of God Television Limited(AGTV) has been nominated as the Best Christian Television Station of the Year. Other TV stations nominated in that category are Sunny TV, Precious TV,Crystal Plus TV, PraiseTV, Powerline TV, Pent TV and Dominion TV. The rest are Apam TV, Hope TV, Footprint TV,CACI TV and PCG TV.
Other categories of the awards include Artiste of the Year; Male Artiste of the Year; Male Vocalist of the Year; Female Artist of the Year; Female Vocalist of the Year; Song of the Year and Worship Artiste of the Year.
Nominees for Artiste of the Year award are Joe Mettle, Diana Hamilton, Nacee, MOG Music, Esther Piesie,Celestine Donkor and Joyce Blessing. The rest are Kofi Owusu Peprah, Perez Musik, Mabel Okyere Lordina The Soprano and Scott Evans.
Performances
The event is featuring performances by some of Ghana’s top Gospel musicians including Ohemaa Mercy, Ceccy Twum, Joe Mettle, MOG, Empress Gifty, Nacee, Piesie Esther, Team Eternity Ghana and Celestine Donkor. Others are Cindy Thompson, Akesse Brempong, Luigi Maclean, Mabel Okyere, Scott Evans, Kobby Salm, Pastor Joe Beecham, and many more.
