The Osenase Central Church of Assemblies of God,Ghana marked a significant milestone as the Regional Superintendent, Rev. Obed Asiedu officially cut the sod to commence the construction of a Mission House for the resident pastor.

The event, filled with excitement and spiritual fervour, drew together church leaders, presbyters, and members of the congregation in a united show of faith and commitment. In his keynote address, Rev. Asiedu commended the leadership and members of the church for their vision and initiative in prioritising the welfare of the pastor through the construction of a befitting mission house.

Tribute

He made special mention of Rev. Ansong Sarpong, the Head Pastor of the Osenase Central Church and District Pastor for Osenase and applauded him for his dedicated leadership, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the church.

“Your efforts have not gone unnoticed,” the Superintendent said.

“Your labour in the Lord is bearing visible fruit, and we thank God for the grace upon your life” he added.

Support project

Rev. Asiedu further encouraged the congregation to support the project wholeheartedly, both spiritually and financially, and assured them of the region’s full backing. He emphasised that the mission house is not merely a structure but a critical foundation for effective ministry. “ _When the servant of God is well accommodated, the work of God thrives. This is a spiritual and practical investment into the future,”_ he observed.

A moving moment of prayer followed as Rev. John Osei Sarfo, former Regional Secretary, offered a special prayer over the land. He asked for God’s blessings, protection, and provision over the entire project and dedicated the site to the glory of God.

New chapter

With shovels in hand and faith in their hearts, the congregation witnessed the turning of the first soil—symbolising the beginning of a new chapter in the church’s journey. The ceremony concluded with songs of praise and renewed determination to see the project through to completion.

As declared in Psalm 127:1, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” With God as their builder and guide, Osenase Central Church is poised to complete this project to the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.
