Some members of the Nsawam Central Assemblies of God in the Eastern Region have shared inspiring testimonies about the breakthroughs they are experiencing in their lives.
The members shared testimonies after completing the third Annual National Week of Fasting and Prayer which was marked by heartfelt worship, powerful prayers, and inspiring testimonies of God’s faithfulness.
During the testimony session, some members shared inspiring accounts of how God answered their prayers during the fasting week. One man testified of being miraculously healed from a long-standing ailment, while a businesswoman recounted how God turned around her struggling business. Another testimony involved the reconciliation of a family estranged for over five years.
These testimonies reinforced the message of the day and reminded the congregation of God’s faithfulness in answering prayer.
The spirit-filled and joyous celebration was led by the church's Head Pastor, Reverend Obed A. Asiedu.
The event was held under the Assemblies of God,Ghana’s 2025 theme, “Pray Without Ceasing for Supernatural Manifestations” inspired by 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
The entire week was a time of spiritual awakening for the congregation, but the grand finale last Sunday was truly unforgettable, with the church’s First Lady, Princess Gloria Asiedu, leading a powerful prayer session that stirred the hearts of all in attendance.
Seeking God
Throughout the week, members of the church dedicated themselves to fasting, prayer, and scripture-based teachings. Under the leadership of Rev. Asiedu, each day focused on critical areas of life and ministry, including Personal Holiness, Family Restoration, Healing and Deliverance, growth of Assemblies of God,Ghana and National development.
Congregants gathered daily for morning and evening sessions, interceding for Assemblies of God, Ghana, themselves, their families, and the nation. Rev. Obed encouraged members to press deeper into their prayer lives, assuring them that God would respond to their persistent prayers with supernatural manifestations.
Special prayers were also offered for specific groups such as students, entrepreneurs, and government leaders, emphasising the church’s commitment to holistic ministry.
Spirit-Filled Sunday Service
The Sunday service was the pinnacle of the week-long spiritual journey. The church was packed with congregants who arrived in high expectation for an encounter with God. The worship session, led by the church’s choir, was electrifying and prepared hearts for the move of the Holy Spirit.
The highlight of the service came when Princess Gloria Asiedu, the First Lady of the church, led a powerful and emotional prayer session. With unwavering faith and a heart full of passion, she interceded for families, the youth, and the entire nation. Her prayers touched on themes of restoration, unity, and divine favour, leaving the congregation deeply moved. Many were seen shedding tears as they joined in fervent prayers for breakthroughs and supernatural interventions for themselves and Assemblies of God, Ghana.
Inspiring sermon, Altar call
Rev. Asiedu followed with a thought-provoking sermon titled, “The Power of Persistent Prayer.” Making references to the Holy Bible, he illustrated how prayer has the power to move mountains, unlock doors, and release God’s blessings. “God responds to those who are consistent and committed in their prayer lives,” he stated, urging the congregation to make prayer a daily practice.
The sermon ended with an altar call, during which dozens of people responded, recommitting their lives to Christ and believing Him for breakthroughs in their personal and family situations.
Prophetic declarations
The service concluded with an intense prayer and prophetic declaration session led by Rev. Obed A. Asiedu. The pastoral team prayed over the congregation, anointing them for a year filled with God’s favour and supernatural manifestations. Special prayers were also offered for Ghana, with declarations for peace, stability, and economic recovery.
The presence of God was tangible, and the congregation left the service uplifted and full of hope for the year ahead.
Moving forward
The Nsawam Central Assemblies of God Church, has set a high spiritual standard for 2025. The church’s commitment to seeking God throughout the fasting week has left a lasting impact on all who participated.
