Transformation Centre AG wins Nungua District Children’s Ministries quiz competition

Transformation Centre Assemblies of God has emerged the overall winner in the 2025 Annual Bible quiz competition organised by the Nungua District Children’s Ministries of Assemblies of God,Ghana.

 

Contestants for the winning church scored an impressive 140 points to beat their opponents. They were presented with two yards of Children’s Ministries cloth for each team member, a storybook, a Bible verse pack, and free registration of 1 teacher to the National Children's Teachers and Pastors Camp in Kumasi. They will also go on to represent the Nungua District at the regional level of the competition.

 

Glory Chapel Assemblies of God secured the second position with 138 points, receiving the same gift package, excluding the Bible verse pack.

 

Amazing Grace Worship Centre Assemblies of God followed in third place with 135 points. They took home branded Children’s Ministries T-shirts, storybooks, and free registration for one teacher from their local church to attend the national training in Kumasi.

 

Patronage, contestants

 

Held at the Dominion Worship Centre Assemblies God in Nungua C5, the event saw enthusiastic participation from various local churches in the district, tested children’s knowledge on key Christian doctrines, Scripture, and national awareness.

 

 

The Nungua District Children’s Ministries of Assemblies of God,Ghana successfully held its annual Bible quiz competition at the Dominion Worship Centre Assemblies of God, Nungua C5. The event, which saw enthusiastic participation from various local churches in the district, tested children’s knowledge on key Christian doctrines, Scripture, and national awareness.

 

Contestants

 

Each participating church presented four contestants to represent their local assemblies. The quiz covered the book of 1 Thessalonians the scripture focus for the Assemblies of God, Ghana’s 2025 theme as well as the history of Assemblies of God, the 16 Fundamental Truths of Assemblies of God,Ghana, current affairs, and a recitation of 1 Thessalonians Chapter 5.

 

Appreciation

 

In her closing remarks, the Nungua District Children’s Ministries Representative, Miss Angela Sun-Ledi, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the District Pastor, his executive team, and their spouses for their support. She also commended all children’s teachers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and extended gratitude to the event’s sponsors for making the competition a success.

 

“The vision of Children’s Ministries is not just to raise Bible quoting children but to disciple them in truth, character, and leadership,” Miss Sun-Ledi emphasised.

 

Several children’s teachers who attended the event shared their excitement about the competition. Many noted how well-coordinated the programme was and praised the organisers for giving the children such a platform to learn and grow in their faith.

 

Background

 

The Assemblies of God Ghana Children’s Ministries quiz competition has been a longstanding tradition aimed at nurturing spiritual development in children. By engaging them in scriptural study, doctrinal understanding, and practical current affairs, the quiz promotes holistic growth preparing children not only for church leadership in the future but also as responsible citizens today. It also fosters healthy competition, teamwork, and confidence among participants.

 

The Nungua District’s 2025 edition is another strong testament to the enduring impact of this initiative. As the children journey forward in their faith, events like these serve as stepping stones to a deeper understanding of God’s Word and the values of Assemblies of God,Ghana.
