Nacee, a renowned Ghanaian Gospel Musician was on Sunday, November 24, 2024 adjudged the Artiste of the Year at the third edition of the Praise Achievement Awards held at the Perez Dome in Dzorwulu, Accra.
The musician won the Artiste of the Year award with his popular song “Aseda". The song also won him other awards in categories such as the Most engaged song on Social Media; Song of the Year; Male Artiste of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year awards.
Other awards
Recipients of other awards include OSTV who was adjudged Best Christian Blogger of the year. The Best DJ of the Year went to DJ Bless with Best Instrumentalist of the Year award going to Stephen Apenteng.
Kwaku Teye won the Discovery of the Year award while Scott Evans took home the Urban Gospel Artiste of the Year and the Best Traditional Christian Music of the Year.
The Best Christian Television Station of the Year went to Crystal TV Plus.
Joe Mettle was crowned Worship Artiste of the Year while Song Writer of the Year went to Lordina The Soprano. Esther Piesie took home Female Artiste of the Year and Best Music Video of the Year award. Album of the Year went to Scott Evans with his Grace is Luxury music album.
There were other categories for artistes in the Diaspora. Artistes in the United Kingdom and Australia among other countries received awards.
Performances
The event featured captivating performances by some of Ghana’s top Gospel musicians including Akesse Brempong and Scott Evans. There were Choreography and other musical performances by emerging talents.
The prestigious event is aimed at honouring outstanding individuals and organisations within the Gospel Music fraternity in Ghana. It is the biggest night in the gospel industry in Ghana and beyond where deserved individuals and groups are awarded for their sterling contributions to the growth and success of the industry.
Warfield song
An ecstatic Nacee after receiving the awards thanked God for giving him “the wonderful” opportunity to serve Him through songs.
He promised his fans to sustain the huge success and achievements by producing what he described as “a warfield song".
Nacee further appealed to Ghanaians to vote peacefully and that they should not forget to always “say thank you to God.”
