Rev. Wengam, Executive Presbytery Officers visit Ghanaian Pastors based in UK

The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam, has met with Ghanaian pastors based in London in the United Kingdom(UK). Accompanied by his wife, Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam, and Executive Presbytery officers, Rev. Wengam's visit was in response to an invitation from Rev. Glyn Barret, General Superintendent of UK Assemblies of God.

 

Purpose

 

The meeting aimed to encourage the pastors, update them on church developments, and share the leadership's vision. Approximately 50 pastors attended, and Rev. Wengam briefed them on preparations for the World Assemblies of God Fellowship Congress, scheduled for October 12-14, 2026, in Accra, Ghana. 

 

On the sidelines of the visit, the leadership of Assemblies of God,Ghana had a strategic meeting with Ghanaian Assemblies of God pastors who are serving as missionaries and pastors in the UK.

 

Unity

 

Rev. Wengam emphasised unity among pastors and challenged those in the diaspora to excel and make the continent proud by eschewing mediocrity and pursuing excellence on all fronts.

He also stressed the importance of proritising prayer, citing communion with God as essential for Christians.
