The Glorious Revival Assemblies of God building in Yaro Yiri in the North East Region has been severely damaged in a recent rainstorm.

Visit

The District Pastor of Gambaga/Nalerigu, Rev. Isaac Achiri who led the North East Regional Superintendent, Rev. Baba Alhassan and his wife Mama Paulina Alhassan to assess the extent of damage, stated that chairs, benches, pulpit, offering stands, musical instruments were all destroyed by the rainstorm.  He further explained to the delegation that both the Pastor in charge and Church members were heart broken.

Resident Pastor

The Resident Pastor, Rev. Elisha Achaab expressed regret that following the disaster, the church members have no place to hold church services and therefore appealed to the Regional Superintendent to allow the church to hold services in a member's house for the meantime pending the renovation of the building.

Prayer

The Regional Superintendent prayed with the Pastor and has also made an urgent appeal to all Assemblies of God members, philanthropists, Non-Governmental Organisations and all well wishers to support the church to quickly refurbish the church building.

The District Pastor, thanked the regional superintendent for his encouragement and prioritising the church’s disaster by visiting its premises to have first hand information on the incident.

Other visitors

Among those present were the  District Treasurer for Najong, Rev. Mathew Louknaan and District Secretary for Gambaga/Nalerigu, Rev. Chris LaarMong.
