The National Youth Ministry of Assemblies of God, Ghana, has taken a significant step towards church expansion with the commencement of a new temple project at Wawase in the Atimatim District.
The sod-cutting ceremony for the Legacy Temple Project, which falls under the church’s broader Transformation Agenda, was led by the National Youth Director, Rev. Henry Kyei Mensah.
The event brought together top clergy and members of the Assemblies of God community in a spirit of unity and vision.
In attendance were Rev. Dr. Godwin Tito Agyei, Assistant General Superintendent, representing the General Superintendent Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam; Rev. George Ampofo, Ashanti North Regional Superintendent and Rev. Twum Barima, District Pastor.
The rest were Rev. Faith A. Mannaseh and Rev. Paul Botwa, both Regional Youth Directors of Ashanti North and Ashanti West, respectively; Rev. Israel Ntim Gyimah and other notable pastors and church members.
Vision
Speaking on behalf of the General Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Agyei lauded the Youth Ministry for taking up the vision of building a house of worship and encouraged the church to pray for steady financial support and resources to ensure the project's timely completion and dedication.
He also urged the Atimatim District and the Wawase local church to fully support the project, describing it as a kingdom investment that would bless generations.
Appreciation
In a show of appreciation, the District Pastor, Rev. Barima thanked the National Youth Ministry for the initiative and assured them of the local church's commitment to support and see the project through to its successful end.
The ceremony ended on a high note with the symbolic declaration: “The Youth Alive! The work is done!” followed by the statement, “This work is done by God through you. God richly bless you.”
The Legacy Temple is expected to serve as a beacon of faith and a symbol of the youth ministry’s dedication to the spiritual and infrastructural growth of the church.
