On March 6, 2025, the Fresh Grace Prayer Ground at Brekumanso in the Asamankese North District held a powerful Independence Day Prayer Retreat under the theme "Prayer Power," inspired by Hebrews 11:33-35.
Rev. Boniface Keelson, the leader of the centre, delivered a stirring message on the power of prayer, emphasising that: Prayer power subdues kingdoms adding that Just as faith moved men of old to conquer territories, prayer enables believers to overcome obstacles and take dominion.
Promises
He further said prayer power causes Believers to obtain all promises from God and individuals stressing that through persistent prayer, God’s promises and divine favour are made manifest in the lives of His people.
Like Daniel in the lions' den, Rev Keelson explained that prayer silences adversaries and brings divine protection. He indicated that prayer power stops the mouth of lions or your enemies.
Prayer quenches fire
The Man of God said prayer power quenches fire, just as the three Hebrew boys, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were delivered from the fiery furnace. He observed that prayer has the power to quench fiery trials and preserve believers in the midst of adversity.
Divine protection, intervention
To escape the edge of the sword just like David escaped Saul’s spear or Peter was miraculously released from prison, Rev. Keelson pointed out that prayer grants divine protection from destruction and harm.
He also expressed his conviction that just as God caused enemies to flee before His people in battle, prayer releases divine intervention that scatters opposition and secures victory. In other words, he said prayer power will turn your aliens to run away.
Rev Keelson stated that in order to bring the dead back to life, just as Elijah prayed, and the widow’s son was restored to life, and Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, prayer has the power to bring revival, restoration, and miracles, even in the most hopeless situations.
Retreat
As the retreat progressed, prayers were offered for the sick, and many received divine healing. Testimonies of healing and restoration filled the atmosphere, affirming the power of God at work through prayer.
The retreat was graced by several distinguished ministers, including the Eastern Region B Superintendent,Rev Obed Asiedu, the Director of Operations at the Assemblies of God Ghana Headquarters, the District Pastor of Asamankese North District, and other esteemed men and women of God.
Spiritual renewal
The gathering was a moment of intense intercession and spiritual renewal, as attendees prayed for personal breakthroughs, the growth of the church, their communities, and the nation. Rev. Keelson encouraged all present to make prayer a daily lifestyle, reminding them that prayer is a divine weapon that unlocks supernatural power and brings victory in all aspects of life.
