Children’s Ministry teachers within the Nungua District of Assemblies of God, Ghana have been inspired and equipped to better serve the next generation.
This follows a day’s conference organised by the Nungua District Representative, Miss Angela Sun-Ledi.
The event, held at Greater Grace Assemblies of God in Klagon, aimed at strengthening the capacity of teachers to effectively nurture and disciple children for God’s glory.
Conference
The National Director of Assemblies of God, Ghana Children’s Ministries, Rev. Mrs. Comfort Wilson-Marfo, who delivered a keynote address, emphasised the importance of thorough preparation before teaching children. She urged teachers to take their roles seriously, as children’s spiritual growth depends on their dedication and readiness.
A representative of 1 for 50, Mr. Humphrey Hooper, for his part, stressed the need for continuous training for children’s ministry facilitators.
He noted that those who teach children are essentially discipling them and must be well-equipped for the task.
Impactful
A children’s minister, Mr. Augustin Abieku Turkson, shared his thoughts on how impactful the training was, stating that it would also help the church support parents in raising godly children.
He emphasised that empowering teachers ultimately strengthens families and the church as a whole.
The conference left participants motivated and better prepared to shape the spiritual lives of children within the district and beyond.
