Michael Offei Ayesu, the Regional Superintendent of the Greater Accra West Assemblies of God  and Apostle Dr Alfred Koduah, a renowned minister of the church of pentecost. In all, over 50 participants attended thye event including church members, nurses, health practitioners, the aged, youth, adults, family and friends.

It featured a health screening, including weight, sugar level, free consultation and blood pressure checks, conducted by a dedicated team of midwives, nurses, and other health practitioners.

Health talk

In addition to the medical check-ups, attendees were treated to a health talk session where wellness tips and lifestyle advice were shared. The Founder and lead pastor of Reach Heaven church and speaker at the event, Pastor Vera Duah, encouraged participants to maintain a positive mindset and speak affirmatively over their lives.

“We should say good things to ourselves so the angels can work with that, God takes care of us, but when things delay or money isn’t coming, don’t stress or worry—it only brings sickness. Instead, relax, pray, and trust in God” she advised.

The main speaker at the annual health screening and thanksgiving event who is also the Founder of CWLI, Prophetess Mrs. Agnes Wiafe-Amoako delivered a powerful message centered on holistic well-being.

Balance

In her address, she emphasised the importance of maintaining a balance between physical health and spiritual wellness, especially among women in leadership and ministry.

She observed that good health is a gift from God, but it also requires responsibility, and that people must be intentional about taking care of their bodies while feeding their spirits with the word of God and prayer.

Mrs. Wiafe-Amoako encouraged participants to take advantage of health screenings and medical advice, while also staying rooted in faith and positivity.

She highlighted the mission of CWLI, which is to empower Christian women to lead purposefully, care for their families and communities, and serve as agents of change both spiritually and socially.

Thanksgiving, prayer, contributions

The event concluded with a thanksgiving and prayer service later in the evening, allowing participants to express gratitude for life and commit their health and well-being into God's hands marking another impactful milestone in CWLI’s mission to uplift and empower women.

Mrs. Wiafe-Amoako mentioned that the initiative would now become an annual event aimed at promoting health awareness and holistic well-being, especially among women, the elderly, and youth.
