The Assemblies of God,Ghana Greater Accra East Region Men's Ministries has held its Convention in Shai Hills.

The three-day event which was attended by over 250 men from 13 districts in the region took place at the Assemblies of God Greater Accra Region Retreat and Resort Centre in the same location.

The event was on the theme “Man, Pray Without Ceasing for Supernatural Manifestation and Action” based on (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Topics discussed included health management; ensuring total well being of a man; emerging skills, Artificial Intelligence and the man as a priest in the house.

The participants were taken through Bible teachings while prayer sessions were also held.

Spiritual walk

The main speaker for the convention was the Chairman of Assemblies of God Legacy Project Commission, Rev. Boniface Daawieh Keelson. He spoke on the topic “Men, let's pray without ceasing.” He said it was an undeniable fact that prayer is a vital need in spiritual walk with the Lord as individuals and as Men's Ministry cooperatively.

He observed that the Bible admonishes men in particular as heads, leaders in homes and the World to always lift up their holy hands in prayer onto the Lord.

Rev. Keelson stressed the need for men to get closer to God and build unique communication with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Persistent prayer

The Acting Regional Director of Men's Ministries, Mr. Solomon Larbey stated that in a World filled with distractions, trials  and spiritual warfare, the call to persistent prayer is both a shield and a lifetime activity.

He explained that the Convention was a Divine appointment and not just a bi-annual gathering of men.

Goodwill message

In a goodwill message, the Greater Accra East Regional Superintendent, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, said the theme for the event was timely and prophetic, calling men back to the sacred place of consistent prayer, where supernatural breakthroughs are birthed and Divine assignments are activated.

There were other speakers at the event. They included Rev. James Agbotro, the National Men's Ministries Prayer Coordinator who led the men to pray for two hours continuously urging them to be priests in their respective houses.

Other speakers included Mrs. Elizabeth Antwi, a Counselling Psychologist, who spoke on total health of a man, highlighted the three main areas that constitute total health. These are physical, social, spiritual, and mental health.
She focused on diet, physical activity, and mental health processes that promote total health.

The Data Protection Cyber Security&IT Law Expert, Mr. Emmanuel Gadasu also spoke on Artificial intelligence and cybersecurity awareness  as an emerging digital issue affecting lives on a daily basis. He tasked the men to guide their children to take ICT seriously.
