The General Secretary of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Ernest Birikorang, has called on Christian women to be intentional and purposeful in their service to God and humanity.
Speaking at the ongoing national conference of the Joy Fellowship of Assemblies of God, Ghana, being held at the Central University campus in Miotso, Greater Accra Region, Rev. Birikorang said purposeful women are marked by qualities such as passion, humility and confidence.
Hannah
Drawing from the biblical account of Hannah, he encouraged participants to remain steadfast in prayer and committed to their God-given assignments. The conference, themed “Pray Without Ceasing: Empowering Purposeful Women for Kingdom Service,” began on 12 August and will end on 16 August 2025.
The event brought together women from nine regions across the country: Greater Accra East and West, Volta South and North, Central Region A and B, and Eastern Region A, B and C.
The main speaker, Rev. Moses Kofi Gyasi, Missions Director for the Greater Accra East Region, led prayer sessions on issues relating to family, health, finances and the church.
Participants
More than 600 women are attending the conference, engaging in prayer and teachings aimed at strengthening their spiritual impact. Several participants shared testimonies of how the retreat has inspired them to live more purpose-driven lives.
