The Greater Accra East Regional Superintendent of Assemblies of God Ghana, Reverend Andrews Nelson Awintia, has charged women to remain steadfast in prayer regardless of their emotions or circumstances.
He emphasised that anger or a bad mood should never dictate their prayer life or hinder their spiritual commitment.
Rev. Awintia made this call while leading a powerful prayer session at the regional rally dubbed the Deborah Conference, organised by the Joy Fellowship of Greater Accra East Region. The event, held at Living Praise Assemblies of God, Lashibi, brought together women from various branches of Assemblies of God for a time of worship, intercession, and empowerment.
Encouragement
Encouraging the women to be intercessors for their families, Rev. Awintia stressed the importance of standing in the gap through prayer, noting that a praying woman is a powerful force in the home and society.
The National Director of Joy Fellowship, Mrs. Gladys Akoto, urged the women to work hard and not rely solely on their husbands for financial support. During a group study discussion, she drew lessons from the Biblical story of the widow who had only a small jar of oil but, through faith and action, was able to sustain her household.
Mrs. Akoto encouraged the women to make good use of the little resources they have and venture into profitable activities to support their families.
Conference
The Deborah Conference continues to serve as a platform for inspiring and equipping Christian women to embrace their spiritual and economic roles with diligence and faith.
