The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God,Ghana, Rev. Stephen Wengam and his wife,Lady Mrs. Monica Wengam have visited the North East Region to fellowship with pastors, retired ministers and their spouses including widows of deceased pastors.

They were warmly received at the Central Assemblies of God, Nakpanduri by the Regional Superintendent Rev. Baba Alhassan and his able executive.

Prayer

Speaking on the theme for the year, "PRAY WITHOUT CEASING(for supernatural Manifestations" based on 1 Thessalonians 5:17),the General Superintendent challenged pastors to pray anywhere, everywhere and anytime. He emphasised that, When they pray, God works, but when they don't pray, they work.

He reiterated that, though prayer is hard work yet it works. He therefore called on pastors to pray more and lead their congregations to pray intensely.

Rev Wengam as typical of Apostolic visit led the pastors in an intense three hours non-stop prayer session.

Donations

The General Superintendent and his wife as is their custom on such visits presented special gifts to all retired ministers and their spouses as well as widows of deceased pastors.

The men were given undisclosed cash amount while the women received cloth, oral health accessories and an undisclosed amount of money each.

Each pastor’s wife present also received cloth and oral health accessories among other gifts.

In addition, the General Superintendent and his wife donated 100 bags of cement estimated at 10,000 Ghana cedis and an amount of 40,000 Ghana cedis to support the construction of the Regional office building.

The Regional Superintendent,Rev. Alhassan on his part thanked and commended the first family for being consistent in this gesture.

Indeed, their visit was unique, amazing and memorable.
