President John Dramani Mahama has announced the nomination of two new District Chief Executives for the Ashanti Region.
The nominees are Ibrahim Issahaq-District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua District Assembly and Yakubu Issifu-District Chief Executive for Asante Mampong Municipal Assembly.
A statement signed and issued in Accra by Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama explained that the nominations were made in accordance with Article 243 (1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20 (1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
Clarifications
The nominations, the statement said were subject to approval by their respective assemblies.
