Awudome Senior High School (AWUSCO) in Tsito, Volta Region has sworn in its 2025 prefectural body with a call on the student leaders to build healthy bridges between the school’s administration and the student body.
The event, which took place at the school's assembly hall was marked by inspiring speeches, cultural displays, and a sense of purpose, aimed at celebrating the school’s dedication to grooming responsible and visionary leaders.
The Assistant Headmaster of Administration, Mr. Peter Dogbey, urged the new prefects to lead with humility, integrity, and a commitment to positive change.
Keynote address
Delivering his keynote address titled "Leadership Through Service," Mr Dogbey pointed out that “Leadership is not about titles or privileges but about responsibility and the impact one makes on others.
As prefects, he told them that they are to build bridges between the administration and the student body, and their actions must reflect the values of excellence, discipline, and teamwork.
Ceremonial
Clad in ceremonial sashes, the newly inducted prefects on their part pledged to uphold the values of AWUSCO while serving their peers and the school with dedication. The prefects thanked the school for the confidence reposed in them promised to lead with diligence and fairness.
The ceremony also featured goodwill messages from staff and alumni, prayers for the success of the prefects, and captivating cultural performances that highlighted the rich traditions of the school.
The 2025 Prefectural Induction Ceremony reaffirmed AWUSCO’s commitment to excellence in leadership development. The event served as a reminder of the pivotal role the prefects play in maintaining the school’s values and inspiring their peers.
