Springland International School, at Klagon in the Tema West Constituency, hosted its annual carol service on Saturday. The event, under the theme, "How Great is the Love of God” brought together parents, learners, and the community.
The learners brought the theme to life with their energetic and heartfelt performance of a drama on the parable of the Prodigal Son, showcasing the depth of God’s love and forgiveness. Their performance was equally thought-provoking and left a lasting impression on the audience.
Embrace love
The Proprietress of Springland International School, Mrs. Charity Kudalor, urged patrons of the event to embrace love because "God is love."
She also encouraged the learners to excel in their studies, stating, "Just like Jesus, though He was born in a manger, He became great. Therefore, do not despise your little beginnings."
The service featured a variety of activities, including carol singing, choreography, dancing, and the reading of lessons, all of which showcased the learners' talents and dedication.
Background
Carol services are a cherished part of Ghana's festive season, often held in schools, churches, and communities. These services combine the singing of Christmas hymns, dramatisations, and Bible readings, offering a time for reflection, worship, and celebration. They bring people together in the spirit of unity and reminding everyone of the joy and hope of the Christmas season.
Springland International School’s carol service exemplifies this tradition, spreading the message of God’s love and fostering a sense of community among learners, parents, and attendees.
