The Executive Committee (EC) officers of the Greater Accra East Region of Assemblies of God, Ghana, have paid a courtesy visit to the Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey in Accra.
Led by the Regional Superintendent, Rev. Andrews Nelson Awintia, the delegation congratulated Dr Naa Momo Lartey on her appointment as a Cabinet Minister and commended her as the first female Assemblies of God member to attain such a high position in government.
Meeting
During the meeting, the EC officers shared details of the "SEND AGENDA," an initiative by the Greater Accra East Region aimed at spiritual growth and church expansion. They also briefed the Minister on the national-level "TRANSFORMATION AGENDA," spearheaded by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam.
Rev. Awintia assured the Minister of the Region's unwavering support and offered prayers for divine wisdom, guidance, and protection as she carries out her duties.
Appreciation
Dr Naa Momo Lartey expressed gratitude for the visit, support, and prayers. She pledged her Ministry’s collaboration with Assemblies of God to promote national development.
A devoted member of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Dr Naa Momo Lartey has been actively involved in the church since childhood. She was a Missionette in her early years, later joined the Young Singles (YS), and took on leadership roles such as Sunday School Teacher, Women’s Ministry President, and District Women’s Ministry Secretary. She has also been a strong supporter of Missionettes and a founding member of several Assemblies of God churches in the Region. She currently fellowships at House of Love Assemblies of God in the Nungua District.
