The Assemblies of God,Ghana has officially begun its Mid-Year National Prayer Chain and Fasting beginning Monday, 7th July to Sunday, 13th July 2025, under the theme “Lord, Let There Be Supernatural Breakthroughs” based on Joel 2:17.
This initiative is in line with the National Theme for the year, “Pray Without Ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), as the church seeks to press into the presence of God for divine intervention, renewed strength, and open doors in the second half of the year.
Spiritual significance
As the year reaches its midpoint, this period of consecration serves as a time for the entire Assemblies of God body thus pastors, members, departments, and leaders—to pause, reflect, seek God's face, and intercede for supernatural breakthroughs in their personal lives, ministries, families, and the nation at large.
To ensure the effectiveness of the prayer chain, a well-organised schedule of daily activities has been outlined, which includes Morning and Evening prayers, Daily Prayer Points focusing on revival, supernatural encounters, national peace, family restoration, and church growth among others. AGTV is currently streaming the prayer session.
Call to action
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God,Ghana, Rev Steven Yenosum Wengam has urged all members across the country and in the diaspora to join in this sacred period of prayer and fasting with seriousness and expectancy.
