President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended heartfelt congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama on his resounding victory in the 2024 presidential election.
The announcement was made in a press release issued on Monday, December 9, 2024, by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Office of the President, following the official declaration of the election results by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Jean Mensa.
In the statement, President Akufo-Addo reiterated his unwavering commitment to ensuring a smooth and peaceful transfer of power to the President-elect on January 7, 2025.
He expressed his willingness to collaborate with Mr. Mahama and his team to facilitate a seamless transition process.

Transition
In the spirit of collaboration, the President extended an invitation to President-elect Mahama for a meeting at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
The meeting will serve as the starting point for the transition process, ensuring a smooth handover of governance to the incoming administration.
