Voting begun across the 40,976 polling stations in the country this morning.
AGTV News Team reports that some polling stations have started experiencing queues but it did not deter eligible voters from exercising their civic duties.
Galilea
From Galilea near Kasoa, Vincent Amenuveve reports that one polling station at the Galilea Christ Apostolic Church 3B had its verification machine run out of power at about 9:10am but the Electoral officers explained that when they get access to an extension cord the machine will be charged to restore power.
Out of a total 412 eligible voters, 48 people had cast their ballots as at 9:10am.
At the Galilea Christ Apostolic Church 2B, 70 out of 493 registered voters had voted as at 9:15am. Forty-eight people out of 493 people voted as at 9:13am at the Galilea Christ Apostolic Church 2A and at the Christ Apostolic Church 1B, 57 people had voted out of 481 registered voters as at 9:20am.
At the Galilea Christ Apostolic Church 1A where there was a queue, 41 had voted out of the 482 registered voters.
At the Galilea Christ Apostolic Church 3A, 43 out of 413 people had cast their ballots as at 9:02am. At all the polling stations visited.
Lashibi
At Lashibi within the Tema West Constituency, Angela Sun-Ledi reports that as at 11:46am, out of 377 eligible voters,120 had cast their ballots at the St James Primary School.
Adentan
At Adentan, Anita Ankrah reports that voting is underway with voters turning out in significant numbers to exercise their civic duty.
Despite the early hours of a busy, warm morning, long queues continue to form, demonstrating the electorate's dedication to participate in this pivotal democratic process.
Security
At all the polling stations visited there were security personnel at post from the Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service and the Ghana National Fire Service among others.
