A Member of the Council of State, Justice Georgina Theodora Wood has expressed her condolences to the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Reverend Stephen Wengam following the demise of his late mother, Madam Deborah Wengam.
Justice Wood, a Former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the first woman Chief Justice of Ghana, appointed in 2007, is also a dedicated member of Ringway Gospel Centre Assemblies of God, Osu.
As part of her visit she signed a Book of Condolence opened in honour of Reverend Wengam's late mother. The Council of State Member eulogised Madam Wengam for her great achievements and contribution to the church and the nation as a whole.
Other dignitaries
The Assemblies of God fraternity both in Ghana and abroad also visited and commiserated with the General Superintendent. A delegation from Leeds in the United Kingdom(UK) visited Reverend Wengam to console him. The delegation is made up of Reverend and Mrs Gabriel Yidana of Leeds Assemblies of God, UK and representing the UK Assemblies of God(Ghanaian Churches).
The delegation from Ghana is made up of the National Youth Executive of Assemblies of God,Ghana led by the National Youth Director, Reverend Henry Kyei Mensah. The Regional Executive of Greater Accra East Sunday School Department of Assemblies of God, Ghana led by the Regional Director, Reverend James Agbotro also paid a visit to Reverend Wengam to express their condolences.
They signed a Book of Condolence and paid tribute to Reverend Wengam's late mother.
