More than 150 people at Sonkorpe, a community in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region have been screened under a medical outreach programme.
A medical team made up of a medical doctor, a physician assistant, a laboratory science technician, and a molecular biology student screened the beneficiaries for both communicable and non-communicable diseases including heart diseases, Malaria, cancer and various types of infections.
In addition to health education, the outreach team passionately preached the Gospel, successfully winning souls for Christ thereby enriching the spiritual lives of community members.
Organised by Eleos Foundation, the event was aimed at addressing both the spiritual and health needs of the less-privileged. The event also featured two crucial health talks that focused on Breast Cancer Awareness and Malaria Prevention.
The interactive sessions engaged the audience, with many participants able to answer questions related to malaria prevention.
