The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana, Rev. Stephen Yenusom Wengam, has stated that praying in tongues has a transformative power because it unlocks divine mysteries, enhances spiritual strength, and fosters supernatural breakthroughs.
He urged members of the church particularly Executive Presbytery(EP)and Key Leaders to work diligently in their respective capacities to ensure that the entire Assemblies of God community actively embraces and put into action the 2025 theme: “Pray Without Ceasing (For Supernatural Manifestations)” based on 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
The General Superintendent made the remark at the end of the EP and Key Leaders Retreat of Assemblies of God,Ghana at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi.
The spiritually enriching event, held from November 10 to 15, 2024, brought together leaders and key personalities of the church to seek divine direction and deepen their spiritual commitment.
Pray in Tongues
Speaking on the topic: "Fifteen Awesome Deeds of Praying in Tongues" Reverend Wengam said the theme underscores the church's commitment to cultivating a culture of persistent prayer, seeking God's intervention for extraordinary manifestations in every area of ministry and personal life.
He added that the retreat was not only a time of spiritual revival but also a platform for strategic planning and collaboration among the leadership.
Reverend Wengam's message deeply resonated with the audience, igniting a renewed passion for prayer and spiritual discipline.
