The Assemblies of God fraternity has expressed its appreciation to Reverend Dr Sylvanus Amegashiti Elorm for his distinguished services to the church.
The fraternity therefore honoured him with a special plague, gifts and other packages.
This was during a Commendation and Retirement Service held in his honour at the Trinity Chapel of Assemblies of God in Tema on Saturday, November 23,2024.
Among the groups that honoured him were the General Council of the Church,the Greater Accra East Region, Ministers’ Wives Association, the Trinity Chapel of Assemblies of God, the First Sky Group, the Assemblies of God Tema District, and other members of the church.
Plague
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God,Ghana Reverend Stephen Yenusom Wengam presented a plague christened “Kingdom Enabler Leadership Award" to Reverend Dr Elorm for his immeasurable contribution to the growth and administration of the church.
Reverend Wengam also presented a pension package from the General Council of the church to Rev Dr Elorm.
The Trinity Chapel of Assemblies of God presented a four-bedroom house, an undisclosed amount of money to take care of him and his family, a monthly salary support until he is called to eternity, and a high premium health insurance policy for himself and his wife.
The First Sky Group on their part presented to Rev Dr Elorm a new Mercedes Benz E-Class with comprehensive vehicle insurance policy, a cheque for an undisclosed amount of money, a monthly salary, until he is called to eternity.
The group also conferred on him a Life-Time Patron, Spiritual Father and Chairman for the group.
The Tema District gave an amount of GH¢50,000 while the Greater Accra East Region and Ministers’ Wives Association and other church members gave an undisclosed amount of money.
Be inspired
The General Superintendent said he was not surprised at the high level of appreciation being accorded Rev Dr Elorm because he deserved it.
“Let this inspire all of us if you serve selflessly the Gold will chase you not you chasing the Gold".
